FABRIC FASTENER

The F990048 is a genuine Textron Aviation fabric fastener used to fasten, secure, or retain components during assembly of the airframe. It is applicable to the Caravan or Grand Caravan EX, Citation CJ2 or CJ2+, Citation CJ4, CJ4 Gen 2, CJ4 Gen 3, Citation Excel, XLS, XLS+, XLS Gen 2, Citation III, VI or VII, Citation Mustang, Citation Sovereign or Sovereign+, Citation V, Ultra, Encore or Encore+, Skyhawk, and Skylane, among other compatible variants. It carries an export classification of ECCN EAR99. As an original-equipment (OEM) part supplied directly by Textron Aviation, the F990048 is built to the aircraft maker's specification and cross-references the type design as documented in the maintenance data. Choosing the genuine part over an unapproved substitute preserves configuration control and simplifies inspection sign-offs. Parts like this are shared across the Cessna Caravan, Citation, Skyhawk, Skylane, and Stationair aircraft, reflecting how much structure and hardware these models have in common. Aircraft hardware is called out to a specific specification for each location; an off-the-shelf equivalent is rarely acceptable. Fitting the correct factory part the first time avoids the rework, removal, and re-inspection that an incorrect or unapproved part can trigger. The Cessna name is among the most recognized in aviation — founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1927 and part of Textron since 1992, today a cornerstone of Textron Aviation. Cessna's single-engine Caravan turboprop, in production since 1984, is one of the most widely used utility aircraft in the world.
