ANTENNA TRANSPONDER

The 42940-0000 is a genuine Textron Aviation antenna transponder that senses or indicates a value for an aircraft system or instrument. It is applicable to the Caravan or Grand Caravan EX. It carries an export classification of ECCN 7A994. Because the 42940-0000 is an original-equipment (OEM) part sourced directly from Textron Aviation, it matches the exact specification and placement called out in the aircraft's type design and maintenance data — assurance a generic substitute cannot offer. Across the Cessna Caravan fleet, correctly identified factory parts like this keep every airframe consistent and configuration-correct. Electrical and electronic components are defined by exact ratings and characteristics, so the specified part keeps the circuit performing as engineered. Because this is a component for a type-certificated aircraft, using the manufacturer's part keeps the installation within approved configuration and simplifies compliance. For a regulated aircraft component, correct identification by factory part number is what guarantees the exact form, fit, and function the design calls for. Choosing the genuine article over an unapproved part keeps mechanics' sign-offs clean and the aircraft's configuration exactly as certificated. The Cessna name is among the most recognized in aviation — founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1927 and part of Textron since 1992, today a cornerstone of Textron Aviation. Cessna's single-engine Caravan turboprop, in production since 1984, is one of the most widely used utility aircraft in the world.
