FIREWALL SHEET

The 2653040-6 is a genuine Textron Aviation firewall sheet supplied for use on the aircraft, with its precise function defined by the aircraft's parts data. It is applicable to the Caravan or Grand Caravan EX. It carries an export classification of ECCN 9A991. Because the 2653040-6 is an original-equipment (OEM) part sourced directly from Textron Aviation, it matches the exact specification and placement called out in the aircraft's type design and maintenance data — assurance a generic substitute cannot offer. Because the Cessna Caravan aircraft share extensive structure and hardware, a single part like this is often common across several variants. As a factory-supplied item for a type-certificated aircraft, this part is defined by the manufacturer's specification and applicability data. Traceable OEM hardware keeps an aircraft's maintenance records defensible at annual, pre-purchase, and pre-buy inspections. The value of an OEM part is as much in its paperwork and pedigree as its metal — both of which an aircraft's records require. Because aircraft parts are governed by strict airworthiness and traceability rules, fitting the OEM part rather than an unapproved equivalent keeps the installation eligible and the aircraft's records clean. The Cessna name is among the most recognized in aviation — founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1927 and part of Textron since 1992, today a cornerstone of Textron Aviation. Cessna's single-engine Caravan turboprop, in production since 1984, is one of the most widely used utility aircraft in the world.
