Aircraft Features
Airframe:
The aircraft was treated to a complete restoration in 2012. The airframe dissembled completely, sand blasted, epoxy primed and recovered with the poly-fiber system. It was reassembled and rigged per Piper service manual. Flight controls were checked for proper balance. Aircraft was modified at this time with the installation of the Lycoming O-320 engine under STC # SA00283B0 and appropriate 337 form. All new tires and tubes installed, both brakes rebuilt with new expander tubes. Installed new bungee cords and new brake hoses. Installed and rigged all new control cables, new throttle cable, new seat belts. All new nav light wiring, new lift struts and forks installed. New glass installed.
Engine:
Engine was removed from storage, disassembled and checked for corrosion, installed new oil pump housing, shaft and gears, complying with ad 96-09-10 and SB524. As a precaution c/w AD 2404-10-14 by installation of new bolt and lock plate. No defects noted. Reassembled using new seals and gaskets. Mags were overhauled Feb 2018, and has a Skytec starter.
Avionics:
The aircraft has no installed avionics or ADS-B but has an installed external antenna and a handheld com is included.
